Clients that are focused and motivated to get better, and are willing to put forth the effort to do so. Clients that are ready to dig deep and work on issues that are way past the surface. Clients who may not initially be in the contemplation stage of change, but knows that change is needed.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I specialize in Anxiety, Depression, Substance Use/Abuse, and PTSD. By implementing CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral Activation and other approaches tailored specifically to you, I can help you to regain functioning in need areas.

As someone who has always been interested in the wellbeing of others, Woomendy always knew she wanted to be in a field where she could help individuals work on their relationship with others, and support them in working through their feelings.
She is a firm believer that we all have the ability to solve problems in our lives. However, sometimes there are other things that may interfere with our capacity to do so such as; traumatic events and other environmental factors.
Her vision is to provide a non judgmental and empathetic space for individuals, couples, and families to meet their needs and achieve their goals.
Her various experiences include working with children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families from all ethnic and cultural background. Trauma is her niche but she also works with clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety related disorders, adjustment disorder, etc. She works from a solution focused and narrative theory approach, which are two approaches that are largely beneficial to those who struggle with trauma.

Woomendy is fluent in Haitian Creole. Her Education and trainings include a MS. in marriage and family therapy through Capella University and currently enrolled in certification program in Trauma.
